Since when have you been working at ENTER?

What do you do at ENTER? / What is your job position?

I work as a Corporate Recruiter for the Software Technology team. This means that I am responsible for recruiting new software professionals for our team. An important part of this is the ‘candidate experience’. I put a lot of time and attention into guiding my candidates during the application process at ENTER.

For me, recruitment is much more than simply sending messages to people and hoping someone bites. However difficult it can sometimes be, I put a lot of time and attention into a personal approach. When I am approached, I always check whether someone has taken the trouble to look at my profile, so the same can be expected of me the other way round.

The first contact with my candidates is also very informal. That is why I do not do interviews, but introductory talks. During these, I tell the candidate as much as possible about me, ENTER and my role within ENTER, so the candidate can use this information to determine whether we are a good fit. Of course, I would also like to know more about the candidate so I can make the same consideration. Should it be a match, from this moment on I will guide my candidate through the recruitment process at ENTER. This means that I will be available to him/her for any questions he/she may have, but also to help with a bit of preparation, for example. Since you have already convinced me, I will do everything I can to make sure the team is convinced of your strengths too!

What motivates you to do this job?

Looking for a new challenge can be quite exciting, how nice is it to have a buddy to help you in this process? I really enjoy making a personal connection with my candidates and having someone to share the joy with when they sign. I also find it very special when candidates from another country choose to leave all their possessions behind and come to the Netherlands for a fresh start. I therefore want to support them as much as possible during this process.

What are you proud of (work-related)?

I am proud of my ability to connect with candidates and sense the needs of each candidate. I am very good at identifying needs and responding to them. I get a lot of appreciation for this in my work.

What do you like most about working at ENTER?

The people and the trust my team gives me. From day one my team has given me all the freedom I need to apply my own recruitment strategy. In addition, the colleagues in the office are super helpful and genuinely interested. What I also like is that everyone has their own story but there is still one common thread in every story and that is; helping people advance in their careers.
